When he was young, Zebedee Nungak learned from his Inuit mother, Winifred, that his grandfather was a Scottish fur trader. In 1926, William Mackenzie Peter came to Povungnetuk Bay on the eastern shore of Hudson Bay, lived with Zebedee’s grandmother, and fathered Winifred. In 1930, William Mackenzie Peter simply disappeared.
All of her life Winifred tried to find her father but never did. Now Zebedee is taking up her quest, with the help of Ancestors in the Attic.
