Fantastic start to the day. The instruction is wonderful!!! Thank you.

I feel so happy when doing these stretches. Lately I have been watching 15-20 minutes of another yoga video-- for variety, then doing the exercises of these hip openers. My hips feel and move so good afterward.

Hi...remember this from my Comcast membership back in 2008....I did this video (twists) on demand EVERY DAY and loved it....I actually got into this website JUST TO LOOK for this video...thank you!

Thank you for commenting! This series is set up in four episodes, so you need to select the episode you're watching, and then the video player will appear.

music and background are very resonating with Rodney instructions! will be a set of my favorites. I like very much Rodney's routines but other routines that i tried had very unmatching music and enervimg music that do not match with the practice.

This sequence is not my cup of tea. Another member of this forum described it as "gentle" and I think this is fair. Gentle is good at times, don't get me wrong, but I'm literally rolling out of bed and doing this series (still in my jams and everything). I need it to be a little a bit more peppy. This is my generally feeling.

That being said, there are a few great poses that I feel i will definitely use again for myself in my unguided practice so I do recommend doing this particular video in this series at least once. You've got nothing to lose anyway. Namaste!

Sorry to add to the less positive feedback - but I have been trying to download Rodney Yee's AM yoga series several times over the past weeks, and it just wont. Similar issues with some other videos, but not all. Hope you can fix the problem/s. Thank you very much! Namaste:)

I am about ready to cancel my membership to Gaiam TV. Videos stop in the middle of a segment despite using Firefox. I thought the problem had been solved, but this morning more of the same. Gaiam TV is so unreliable, I am using it less and less because of the frustration.

Great! Reminding us that the deeper we can go with simple, the more advanced our yoga practice is:)

I did a really strong upper body practice yesterday, so this was the perfect way to start today. Like a soothing balm, with some gorgeous deep hip openers. Thank you Rodney. You rock!

clichy60, posted on December 5, 2014

I love RY voice....The only thing I can say is that I wish the sequence was longer..and a little more advanced...I jut stopped the video and did my inversions and some other asanas..Then went on with the rest of the video...Merci!

I used this after my morning walk today. FABULOUS!
I love the cues to use my hands to extend my waist and legs.

brightman73, posted on September 4, 2013

This segment (Hip Openers) was fantastic! I used it after my morning walk. I loved all the internal cues he gave such as using my hand to help my knee in a pose. I loved the pacing.

I have significant hip pain but I feel great after taking time to open my hips with Rodney.

jtatum5655, posted on May 23, 2013

If you'd like a quick (20ish minutes) morning yoga routine, then this is great choice. Relaxing and active without being too complicated. :)

nokneed, posted on May 19, 2013

Just FYI: After doing this for 2 weeks, my hips open dramatically. This has VERY positive impacts in the bedroom, if you know what I mean ;-)

B-health, posted on May 14, 2013

I have had this in my collection of DVDs for years. It is a staple for anyone who needs to take their practice with them on the road or motivation to move into the day calmly and whole. I love this set of practices! Great!

I did the twists practice this morning and enjoyed it. It's a good way to get in a quick yoga practice before the day begins.

Jenb215, posted on March 10, 2013

Good quick practice that start immediately and maintains a good pace. Perfect for am practice or just before bed to relax.

powren, posted on March 1, 2013

I begin each day with one of Rodney Yee's 5 routines. I love being able to tailor my practice to what my body is telling me. The length is perfect for busy workdays and when I have more time I do two!

nokneed, posted on February 13, 2013

Just what I needed. A great routine to stretch out my bruised pirinformis!! Thanks Rodnee, just what the chiropractor didnt order, but I found anyway, for less money!!

psykosprite, posted on September 20, 2012

This guy is a fabulous instructor. He clearly identifies WHEN your pose needs to change, keeps you on track with breathing, notifies what's coming up next and how to modify or enhance the stretches as needed. I did the hip opener video after a workout the night before when my hammies and legs were KILLING me and wow did this really help. It was definitely a bit of a stretch (no pun intended) to do some of the poses, but it felt amazing to nail every area of my legs.

Irina, posted on September 16, 2012
