Can anyone suggest a good book to understand the nodes in depth?

There are many worth while books out there on the Lunar Nodes. Celeste Teal, Judith Hill and Kathy Allan all have excellent books out on the subject. Older, more 'classic' works would include George White's book recently reprinted by the AFA {American Federation of Astrologers, Inc,}. The 'Book of Astronomy' by Guido Bonatti, translated into English by Ben Dykes [], has some early classical material on the Dragon's head and Tail; if you want to go back further, see the downloadable PDF of [2nd century CE authority] Vettius Valens' Anthology on translator Mark Riley's website. I especially like astrologer Maurice Fernandez' work on the Nodes,, and any material on the Nodes by the late great American astrologian ,Al H.Morrison, much of which can be found 'out there' on the internet, remains thought provoking and timely. The NCGR [National Council for Geocosmic Research] Geocosmic Journal Winter 2009 issue was devoted entirely to the topic of the Lunar Nodes and can still be purchased on their website []; Robert Blaschke's essay on "Direct vs Retrograde Nodes' published therein is mandatory reading for all astrologers wishing to work seriously with these 'shadow planets'. Many Hindu astrologers have written authoritative texts on the Lunar Nodes that provide detailed delineations. Komilla Sutton's book on the Lunar Nodes, Rahu and Ketu, more easily available in the West, is a fine place to start. Perhaps Rick has some favorite titles to suggest. Good luck with your Lunar Node studies! Scott Silverman
