The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Community & Events Manager to lead two deeply connected domains:

Gaia’s member community experience and our live event program (in person and online streaming). The thesis behind this combined role is simple—community and events are two expressions of the same goal: making Gaia’s members feel like they belong to something larger than a content library. The person in this role will shape a community experience that manifests Gaia’s vision and mission, while simultaneously owning the cross-departmental project management that brings our events to life (up to, but not including, on-site execution and content management).

This role works shoulder-to-shoulder with Marketing, Content, Product, Customer Experience, and

Creative. This is an IC role, and you will own strategy and execution for community programs and serve as the central orchestrator for every event workstream across the company. We’re looking for someone who combines genuine passion for conscious living with the operational rigor to drive complex, multi-team initiatives to completion.

What You’ll Own

Community Experience & Engagement

  • Shape and lead Gaia’s community strategy so that members feel part of a global consciouscommunity—not just a subscriber base – implementing and creating detailed plans to drive predictable and recurring engagement across all our community touchpoints online and inperson.
  • Coordinate a member support experience that is well-integrated with the broader community vision, ensuring consistency in tone, responsiveness, and values alignment.
  • Develop community programming (discussion series, challenges, member spotlights, AMAs, and other engagement formats) that deepens member connection and drives retention.
  • Establish community health metrics and feedback loops; use qualitative and quantitativ insights to continuously refine the experience.
  • Partner with the Content team to amplify community voices and surface member-driven content themes. Community Live Events Project Management
  • Serve as the single point of accountability for the end-to-end marketing event lifecycle (excluding on-site execution), driving alignment across Content, Product, Customer Experience, Creative, and Growth Marketing – ultimately being responsible for ticket sales for in person and online experiences.
  • Own ticket revenue performance for both in-person and pay-per-view events, with accountability for meeting or exceeding defined sales KPIs
  • Plan and execute marketing strategies for 5–6 events annually, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and revenue targets
  • Drive ticket sales through lifecycle marketing channels, including email campaigns, on-site placements, and conversion-focused messaging
  • Provide strategic direction and clear guidance to speakers on promotional expectations; monitor and ensure fulfillment of agreed-upon promotion plans
  • Identify risks, blockers, and interdependencies early; escalate proactively and drive resolution so that no workstream stalls waiting on another team.
  • Create and enforce repeatable planning frameworks, templates, and processes that scale as Gaia’s event portfolio grows.
  • Own the master event timeline and serve as the authoritative source of truth on event readiness across the organization.
  • Deliver a complete handoff package to the on-site execution team: finalized speaker briefs, creative assets, and outstanding-item tracker.
  • Develop and maintain Gaia’s annual Live event calendar, aligning activations to subscriber growth targets, brand positioning goals, and content tentpole moments.
  • Develop and manage ticket sales or registration strategies, including pricing tiers, early-bird promotions, and bundled offers. Pre-Event Operations & Readiness
  • Develop and manage event budgets with rigorous cost control; track projected spend against actuals and report forecasts to leadership.
  • Ensure all pre-event marketing deliverables—signage, printed materials, digital assets — are produced, approved, and ready for handoff.

Measurement & Optimization

  • Define KPIs across both community (engagement, retention lift, NPS, community-driven conversion) and events (registrations, ticket revenue, conversion rate, CAC, brand lift); build reporting dashboards to track performance.
  • Conduct post-event and post-initiative retrospectives with all contributing teams; distill learnings into actionable improvements.
  • Collaborate with the data and analytics team to attribute subscriber sign-ups and retention to community and event touchpoints throughout the funnel.
  • Qualitatively and quantitatively forecast and analyze the impact of initiatives, present results and recommendations to senior management.

Gaia exists as a transformational network to empower a global conscious community.

Gaia (Nasdaq: GAIA) is a publicly traded company in Louisville, Colorado. We offer global video streaming of over 8,000 original series, shows, films, documentaries, and practices for conscious living to our members in over 190 countries. Our vast video library serves as a vessel for the community we seek to empower. We are not a subscription service that streams whatever pays our bills. Our content goes deep into select niches of Seeking Truth, Transformation, Alternative Health and Yoga channels. We often cover subjects that other media companies won’t touch.

We expect you did explore Gaia’s library of original shows, documentaries, and films. If our work on ancient wisdom, who are we, our true history, coverups, and metaphysics resonates, you might be a good fit for Gaia. We seek to hire and inspire employees who embrace our mission to empower a global conscious community, who hope their work empowers our community of inspired members, to be a catalyst of transformation. The best work we do every day is to remember our vision is “to empower the evolution of consciousness.”

The perks of working collaboratively with a team dedicated to sharing this mission include an on-site gym; a beautiful solar-powered campus, complete with hiking and running trails, community garden, and a labyrinth; and an on-site, mostly organic café that serves breakfast and lunch daily including a full-service espresso bar featuring locally roasted coffee.

Full-time employees are offered alternative and traditional medical benefits including preventative coverage; as well as dental, vision, 401K, and life insurance.
