Meditation for Beginners (2002)

Available worldwide

Mindfulness is a universal meditation, which is a path of self-discovery and exploration. Through this practice we learn to pause and relax and get quiet with ourselves.

As we tune in, we get to see more clearly the full spectrum of life and its possibilities. We realize that we do have a choice. We can choose to nurture our inner resources – that which is best in us, rather than feed what drains us. From that place, a new energy comes into expression and it can bring great transformation, profound healing and inspiration.

This meditation experience is fabulous for learning meditation and yoga.
It is truly educational and teaches the importance of the entire practice as a whole experience.
It is life changing.

This is the second time I have used this during a very hectic week with multiple deadlines and craziness! For me this is just perfect after a stressful day. I find the combination or yoga , bodyscan and then meditation is what i need to really calm down, get back in balance. For me, as someone who is still a beginner, her talking is very useful to keep me focused. I can see if you were more of experienced you might want less talking. I will be looking for more gaiam tv with her. So grateful for this, thank you.

Wow! Does anyone have an idea of where this was filmed?

The first 2 sessions were good, but the meditation session was disappointing. I found I couldn't enter the deepest levels of my meditation practice because there was too much talking and not enough silence. I try to achieve "no mind" in my meditation through quiet stillness and Maritza's comments would constantly pull my thoughts away from the deeper stillness of being to process her words. All the talking is like being force fed thoughts to constantly detach from. Not a good fit for my practice but I appreciate where her heart is coming from.
