This second episode of Moving Through the Layers of Life with Troy Hadeed builds on the first, Discovering Layers. In this practice, Troy moves through the same concept of layered sequencing, but this time with externally rotated poses. Repetition of poses brings new understanding and relationship every time. Once you have identified the layers in your life that no longer serve you, you have begun the process of shedding those layers to make room for growth, inspiration and all the magical things to come.

Very beautiful practice, I liked what you said about tree pose, it has changed the way I look at this pose, one of my favorites. I also liked what you said about using blocks, I usually don't, but will now. Always very refreshing to have a new perspective. Thankyou xx

I recently discovered Troy and he's my new favorite teacher. No pose is ever the same. So calming. Thank you so much!

Thanks returning to this again and again. I need to revisit and revisit this to keep coming back to realize no pose is ever the same. No moment is never the same.
Peace,
Jen

now meditating on what no longer serves me as a human, a woman, and a world dweller. replacing light where darkness is is a positive way of changing. thank you for the slower, more concious way of moving in yoga!

I really enjoyed this practice this morning. During the final rest I actually had this sensation of my chest rising and light radiating out, amazing. Love your classes, Troy!

First time I've taken an online class, (have a 5 month old at home, hard to fine time to do anything !) My husband took the baby out for a few hours and what a great way to start my morning! So glad I joined, this is awesome!

This was just what I needed this morning!!! It was hard getting out of bed, but your voice was so soothing and inspiring and I really was able to get into those poses. My favorite was when you said it's ok to fall because that's when we grow and learn. I love your messages. I saw someone said you are their favorite instructor. I keep going back to your classes on here so I'm realizing you are one of my favorites as well. Thank you! I wish I could take a class with you in person someday! Maybe you'll come to NY!!

Cant tell you how happy I am about this new series of practices from you. I am going through a transformation in my life, and this is exactly what I need right now to guide me along. Thank you, Troy

Troy is such a great teacher both in terms of precise instructions for the poses + alignment, but also for reminding us of the true meaning of yoga - Union. Love the sequence of poses and the encouragement to use block to increase the opening, and I love the reminders about truly FEELING the pose and feeling the breath. Great class, as always -thank you, Troy!

Great instruction and pacing.

As for letting go of routines, I think we can all become mired in ruts; however, I also believe that routines, like a daily yoga practice, can be extremely beneficial.

Here's an article I wrote on the subject:

What an intelligent, well thought out practice. Troy truly helps one to see the layers we build and the quiet that lies beneath. Thank you. Jai bhagwan.
