As a senior data analyst, you play a crucial role in steering the company’s trajectory by leveraging your advanced coding skills and technical expertise. The primary focus is on modeling and visualizing data to enhance the acquisition and retention of high-value members. As a key member of a dynamic and visible team, you contribute significantly to shaping business insights.

  • In this role, your daily activities include participating in a team to generate vital visualizations and reports from DOMO, Qubole, and AWS. 
  • You are responsible for implementing and maintaining visualizations in DOMO, understanding existing semantics, and creating automated data sets through scheduled jobs in Qubole. 
  • Interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, you drive the creation of high-quality visualizations and reports, contribute to reporting accuracy, and collaborate with data engineering to enhance data pipeline behavior.
  • Expert-level proficiency in big data SQL dialects like Hive, Presto, or similar, encompassing window functions, table creation, CTEs, and advanced joins.
  • Expertise in Python, Jupyter, Pandas, and/or Pyspark.
  • Experience with DOMO or similar visualization tools, including the ability to produce advanced visualizations and utilize features like Beast Mode and Filters.
  • Proficiency in Qubole for creating scheduled jobs and self-updating datasets, with the ability to connect these datasets to DOMO.
  • Competence in using S3 within an AWS environment for table creation and data querying.
  • U.S. citizenship or an existing work visa is required

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Ability to work closely with data engineering, ensuring data pipeline integrity and understanding the semantics of existing tables in an AWS data lake.
  • Automation of manual processes to enhance efficiency.

 Additional Skills:

  • Proficient in Excel for pivoting data and creating effective visualizations.
  • Ability to translate requests from non-technical stakeholders into actionable data and reports in collaboration with data engineering.
  • Understanding of AB Testing and statistical significance testing.
  • Familiarity with Google BigQuery and Google Analytics 4,
  • Familiarity with Amazon EMR Studio is desirable.
