Supervisor: Head of Yoga International

Yoga International is looking for a creative, dedicated, and multi-talented Content Coordinator with deep yoga knowledge and experience to manage the flow of content into our platform and help shape the publishing and content strategy with creativity, care and respect for the yoga tradition and our brand.

This person will be enthusiastic about yoga, curious about how to serve our yoga audience best, and willing to jump in quickly and take charge of our content publishing.

WHO ARE YOU?

You are both creative and technical. You are upbeat, organized, and have a contagious work ethic. Your writing and digital media skills are stellar and you have a penchant for detail. You have experience with Web based tools and content management systems and love learning. You have an understanding of video production. You enjoy wearing many hats, working with a startup mentality, and sharing your gifts with the team.

You have a deep understanding of yoga philosophy, traditions, culture and styles, including the limbs of yoga outside of asana. You are able and excited to work onsite at our office in Louisville.

Content Publishing

  • Own content publishing pipeline, from post-production to publish. 
    • Design and maintain a publishing schedule and communicate it to the organization
    • Work with Post-Production team to manage the media editing schedule
    • Review all content, video and audio, for high media quality and high content value/technical acuity (QC), including closed captions
    • Gather and organize all content assets in necessary sizes and formats for publish
    • Work with technical teams to ensure content offerings are matched with proper marketing offers
    • Meet deadlines
  • Manage content publishing technology

Content Programming, Merchandising, and Creative Writing

  • Repurpose existing content (video, audio, and written) into intriguing, cohesive content offers based on market opportunities and internal data
  • Design learning pathways, e-books, and other content resources for yoga practitioners
  • Work with UI/UX designer to improve learning and content experience on web, mobile, and app
  • Assign and touch up lead imagery for all content
  • Own content discovery and merchandising, including featured/seasonal content, metadata, search, and filters.
  • Coordinate efficient delivery of metadata from outside distributors and teachers, when necessary
  • Curate, update, and maintain content pages
  • Write and copyedit engaging and informative content descriptions and assign appropriate metadata for all content.
    • Support marketing team in copyediting
  • Write and implement content delivery emails aimed at engagement and retention.
  • Write and publish member newsletters/What’s New emails.

Asset Management

  • Maintain a clean and organized content asset library 
  • Own asset library, including all imagery for content leads, merchandising, and teacher promotions and be able to share access to assets when necessary

Content Data/Health

  • Analyze and report on content performance, keeping the content catalog healthy and robust. Own content data and metrics.
  • Keep abreast of content trends and yoga trends. 
  • Manage course sales calculation and reporting.

Teacher/Vendor Relationships

  • Develop, manage, and maintain teacher relationships as it pertains to content – Communicate with teachers about content publishing, assets, descriptions, promotions, etc
  • Develop, manage, and maintain vendor/partner relationships when applicable

Technology

Technology is an integral part of this position. Experience with email, Google Docs, and Google Sheets is required. Knowledge of Slack is preferred. While experience with other specific internal technology isn’t required, confidence with digital media technologies is required. Other technologies include our digital media publishing platform, content management system, database management system, email system, our web and mobile applications on various devices, Google Analytics, and data management systems. An interest in leveraging AI in an ethical manner is encouraged.

  • Impeccable organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
  • Experience in project/workflow management and meeting deadlines
  • Familiarity with following, creating, and improving standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Ability to identify technical and content/yoga issues in content
  • Creative and technical writing and copy editing skills
  • Experience designing successful and engaging content offerings
  • Attention to user experience and focus on retention and engagement
  • Strong proficiency in professional communication and relationship building and management
  • Experience using software to touch up imagery, and managing creative assets
  • Understanding of data analyzation and reporting, the importance of data integrity, and using data to inform decision-making
  • Ability to collaborate across departments with various levels of stakeholders
  • Understanding of video production processes 
  • Deep understanding of yoga culture, including strong working knowledge of yoga terminology, poses, practices, styles, and history
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards
  • Experience with email, Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, and Google Docs
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Yoga teaching experience or Teacher Training certification is strongly preferred
  • Experience with video production
  • Experience in learning design and/or curriculum design
  • Proven track record of increasing retention through content discovery, merchandising, and content publishing
  • Experience with Slack, Hubspot, Contentful, and/or Airtable
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
  • US citizenship or US residency with an existing work permit is required
  • Non-smoker
  • Must be available to work in our campus in Louisville, Colorado
