Still, perhaps you're curious about our reason for being. Well, we're glad you asked. :) Here's our story:
Our Name. Gaia. Whether or not you were aware of it before you found this site, you're already a part of Gaia. Just by living on this planet, you play a unique role in an interconnected global community—from the biosphere that sustains us to the emerging revolution of awareness at the level of environment, society, and spirituality. Incredible, hm?
We think so.
Our Mission. We're here to change the world. You've probably heard Gandhi's beautiful directive to "be the change to wish to see in the world"? Well, we're here to help you do just that. We're here to remind you to listen to your own heart, to discover your path—and to do something about it. We're here to encourage you to live your dreams. Because really... what's the difference between the deep longing within your heart and the call of the planet as a whole?

Our Plan. Easy. We support you in your own transformation, and you inspire and encourage your friends to do the same, and we grow a community of hundreds of thousands (and millions!) of others all committed to living at their greatest potential and following their greatest dreams, and before you know it, we'll have changed the whole world.
And, in the same way that we're not shy about our commitment to personal transformation, we're passionate about the practical, too. We're here to make a difference AND to make a living, and we're dedicated to helping you do the same.
Again, we believe in being the change. We believe in a new way of working, a model in which capitalism is made conscious and where our economy is driven not by the desire to consume, but the desire to contribute, to create, to serve, and to give.
We're already building the most inspired and supportive community you'll find online—a network of seekers, visionaries, artists, environmentalists, healers, dreamers, creators, and conscious entrepreneurs, of all ages and from countries around the world. (We think this alone is pretty powerful: just imagine being supported by thousands of others who'll encourage you to create the life you've dreamed of!) And we're in the process of building a platform that'll help those of you who are already working for yourselves to grow your businesses—so that we can all participate in circulating wealth and wisdom in a way that honors our connection to each other and to the planet.
Our Past. Gaia didn't burst into the world fully formed. Just like everything else, we started as a tiny seed. (Brian Johnson founded Zaadz in 2005; you can read his story here.) Our Team is still working hard to realize Bri's original vision—and we're proud at how far we've already come.
Our Future. That one's easy. Our future lies within you! Our future is a world of peace and prosperity, of service and spirit—one of love and of wonder and hope. Our future is a world where the economy and the environment are not in opposition—one where wealth is measured in so much more than mere dollars. And our future is one that's inevitable—because our future, again, is yours.
