I enjoyed the combination of ballet and pilates, accompanied by peaceful music and a pleasant instructor - I felt long, lean and energized. It was just the right intensity for an after-work treat to transition to evening relaxation. The pace is deliberate and meditative - giving you time to focus on the details of the movements.

I was looking for a Barre workout that would teach basic ballet moves and this is perfect for that and more. So much harder than I had anticipated. I started with 3 pound weights for the floor exercises and ended up needing 2 pounds because 3 was too much. Great workout to change it up with my other workouts. Thanks!

I was hoping for more of a challenge.

I have been looking for a workout like this. I have a dance background, but not much ballet, but this was easy to follow along with. I think beginners and trained dancers alike can benefit from this workout. I didn't have a workout bar, so I used a hand towel pulled tightly between my hands for the long bar exercises (I saw this on an old exercise show I used to watch. You'll work even more muscles than with just a weighted bar. Just make sure you keep pulling the towel apart with your hands to increase the workout). For the short bar exercises, I used hand weights. If you need a bar for balance during the exercises, you can use the back of a chair. I didn't use one and was able to maintain my balance without it. Have fun! This is a great workout for getting long, lean muscles.

It says, "Oops, Error connecting to media." I tried reloading, but it persists.

I loved this. It was fun, invigorating, and yet peaceful. It allowed me to release my inner ballerina. A beautifully constructed workout for both beginner & advanced Pilates students!

I enjoyed this! It was something different for me, and the instructor was very easy to follow. I do not have the barre used in the video, so I substituted a curtain rod (!) for the standing barre, a towel for the twists, and small hand weights for the floor work.
