The second last exercise performed on the back (legs move over the head and then fold slowly back down)is so difficult for me. I wonder if there are any other exercises that can help me practice this action?
Otherwise, I love this pilates warm up. I alternate it with my yoga practices.

nicoluce, posted on October 12, 2016

Thank you for your comment. The way to modify the second last movement, (the roll overs) is by using a strap behind your feet to release the weight of your legs slowly using the help of your arms.
Hope this tip works for you!
All the best,

This is my "go to" Pilates class. Just perfect. Perfect length and, I LOVE the connection to the breath; the clarity of the instructions; graceful and yet powerful. Nico clearly understands and respects this practice and is great at bringing us along. Much appreciation!

Thank you so much for your feedback @LALAKINGKING
Pilates has been a great complement to my yoga practice and really enjoy teaching it.
Keep up the good work!

I still love this practice to feel like I'm strengthening and tightening up areas that are often ignored. Will keep coming back to this as an add on or "quickie"... thanks!!

Hi there, for some reason the video keeps stopping and starting, does anyone know what this is? I can watch videos on youtube and movies without any problems and music so I don't think it is my internet connection....any ideas welcomed as really want to take part in these classes!

I'm a yoga teacher and sometimes I feel like I need a little more core work. This a short but effective practice. Thanks Nico.

So nice. Strong and precise. I do a lot of pilates, but your instructions are the most precise and yet calm. Thank you, Nico. Looking forward to meeting you in real time sometime

nicoluce, posted on March 30, 2015

Glad to hear you annoyed the practice, @LISSIOERVAD.
See you on the mat one of these days,

I did a yoga stretch class before this one and I felt nice and warm to tackle some strength training. I really enjoyed this workout. Unfortunately I am not strong enough to do the pelvic lift with the leg circles so I just left my leg straight and concentrated on building that area up. Thanks Nico! :)

Thanks for your message, @JUSTINEK!

Great little work out - especially for abs. This video needs counts from the instructor. I was not sure if I was using the correct pacing or number of reps.

nicoluce, posted on November 23, 2014

Thanks for your feedback. The reason why I don't count so much when I teach Pilates is because I rather students focusing on quality vs quantity, on performing the repetitions well instead of how many they are doing, for as long as they keep it balanced from side to side. the pacing is based on your breath, so if you try this class again feel free to make it slower or faster based on your own breath.
Hope this helps.
Be well,

Way too challenging and fast for a beginner. The instructor seems very arrogant too. I usually love videos on here, but this one, not so much.

Thanks Nico I love it !!!

I can so depend on NIco to deliver an effective workout! This is perfect when short on time. Nico...if you're checking these comments. Can you help me the the hip/leg circle routine? My hips collapse on that one. Do I need to tighten a particular muscle group during this exercise. My hamstrings/lower ab region is my "achilles heel" and will value anything you have to offer to improve my form and performance. Grazie mile!

nicoluce, posted on November 23, 2014

Hi Wendy,
Sorry it has taken me this long to get back to you. The reason for this is that I hadn't seen your post until today.
For the leg circles, if the pelvis is not stable and your hip collapses you must try making smaller circles and go go slower until you can control the movement in the leg without rocking the pelvis side to side. Imagine you were balancing a cup of tea over the pubic bone so your focus is to keep the pelvis unmoving while you move the leg.
Let me know if this helps.

Hi @lgodfreysmith,
We've checked out this great little video and it all appears to be in sync on our end.
Hope you enjoy it,

This was a great little pilates workout, but I found that the sound wouldn't sync with the video!

Awesome... 15mins.... No excuses now!

Good core workout some of it a bit strong for an 'old girl' like me but I hung on in there, the length of workout was also good under the circumstances.

Good, quick beginner level class. Perfect if you want to do something, but have limited time.

As a Pilates instructor, I loved the attention to form. As a student, I got a great workout! Perfect for working out in a hurry. Thanks Nico!

Nice ab workout for someone with just a few minutes to spare.

llange, posted on March 16, 2010

Really enjoyed this class, however would love more repeated instruction during the movement. Especially since you are on the ground and it\'s hard in pilates to look at the screen. For people who are new to this class it would be helpful!

awesome! a great 15 min workout.

Luvina, posted on October 8, 2009

Worth every minute! Great for the abs and for knowing I did exercise instead of quitting. In my body practice doing 15minutes concentrating in a particular muscle zone is gold. More of these short seesions.

loralea, posted on June 6, 2009

Great practice for a busy life. I really appreciated him starting off with spine imprinting exercises, important for keeping the lower back safe and the abdominal muscles properly engaged.
