Many consecutive difficult events have caused me to step away from this practice. I finally remembered to direct my attention to what is imortant and helps me and it directed me back to this site... and David Magone's yoga & meditations in particular. I am so very grateful I was drawn back to it. Very excited for the episodes I see by him on the videos also. I will do one every other night and I hope there will be more to come! David is by far one of the reasons I keep a monthly subsription even when I fall out of the regular practice.

Although I enjoy Power Yoga, I had become too caught up in the purely physical practice of yoga. David's gentle but deep video helped bring me back to the heart of yoga.

I'm a big fan of Metta meditation and was happy to see it offered in this practice. I woke up feeling a bit tired this morning after a long week. This was the perfect gentle way to ease into a Friday. Thank you, David. Namaste.

Wonderful class. My hips and hamstrings feel released and opened. My heart feels the love of myself and spreading the love out into the world. It was a good reminder for me that a yoga class does not need to be filled with a lot of poses, or hard core power yoga to be challenging. This was a challenge to be in the moment in the stillness of these poses and allow my body to breathe and open and love myself where I am at..... at all times...on or off the matt. The mediation at the end is also very nice. Thank you David for a wonderful class and for sharing a wonderful message through out the class.
Namaste

I was unable to do any yoga stretches for the last week. I experience a lot of head noise and pain.

After being idle in my stretches ... this is exactly what I needed to bring back the light and softness that my body so needed. This is so gentle and healing.

Bless you,
Sh

I'm all for equality but David Magone is by far my favourite MyYogaOnline teacher.
So glad to have a new series from you David, and something a little different in the yin style.

Here's hoping that it is a revival and there will be plenty more David Magone to come!
Thank you David for your presence, your inspiration, your calmness, and your love.

Thank you for telling me that! :-) I'm so glad that you liked the new video.

We've got a bunch of new ones coming out as well, so be sure to keep an eye out. We'll be releasing one per week as part of this series for four weeks total. Later on, there will be other releases as well. Most of the content is quite a lot different than the other videos that I've filmed for the sight, so there will be lots of variety.

All the best to you and yours,

Thank you David, this class was incredible. I was really amazed how deep the hip openers were, usually your classes have a lot of chataranga push ups and warm ups to heat up the body before going into hip openers. The technique you used of pushing the back foot into the floor was new to me, yet incredibly effective. The way you broke down the pigeon pose into 3 steps allowed for deep stretch and relaxation.

The meditation at the end was the icing on the cake. Looking forward to practicing this again and can not wait for the other videos in this series. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with the community. Also looking forward to checking in with you at another class in Boston soon. Thank you again! Namaste! Tim

pranavayu, posted on June 6, 2016

Hi Tim,

Thank you for trying this class out. It was great to see you again a few weeks back!

All of the upcoming videos in the series are slow and stretchy like this one and will include meditations on different themes. When fully assembled, they can be done as a full week's practice. We'll be releasing one per week for the next few weeks, so be sure to keep an eye out.

I'm glad that you enjoyed the practice!

Hi David,

Thank you!
That was just what I needed: a break from pushing myself.
Your seamless three part pigeon pose sequence was just delicious.

I just wrote a piece on How To Feel Safe that relates to this centering practice. It's here: https://holisticdivorce.wordpress.com.

Namaste,
Nicole

Hello Nicole,

It's nice to see you! I'm glad that you liked the video.

Thank you for sharing that piece! I very much enjoyed reading it. The section on finding an inner safe harbor in particular made me think of the Buddhist practice of refuge and how it relates to the second rung of Maslow's hierarchy of needs.

I hope that some of the great practice tips that you shared in the article do indeed help people "grow toward the light"!

Best to you and yours,

Thank you so much David. I am going through such a huge stressful time at the moment and being with you through this class helped me to feel good for a moment.
