Invisible Illness

Invisible Illness

More Details

Invisible Illness is a documentary about hope, resilience, and healing—for and about people living with invisible illness.

The film shares the lived experiences of individuals navigating conditions that are not immediately visible, such as chronic pain, Crohn’s disease, Lyme disease, SIBO, PTSD, fibromyalgia, diabetes, chronic fatigue syndrome, endometriosis, depression, Hashimoto’s, infertility, traumatic brain injury, and many more. Though these illnesses may not be obvious on the outside, their impact is profound and life-altering.

Because invisible illnesses often lack visible symptoms, those affected are frequently doubted or dismissed by friends, family, and even the medical community. As a result, many people not only struggle with their health, but also with feeling unseen, invalidated, and alone.

Invisible Illness centers stories of courage, perseverance, and resilience—while also highlighting the essential role of caregivers, loved ones, and practitioners who support healing. At its core, the film fosters a sense of community and belonging, amplifying voices that too often go unheard and reminding us that visibility begins with listening.
