Very good moderate flow for when you have a cold.
Dina Amsterdam's immunity flow, which is more Yin, is also an excellent choice; and, it has a great Jin Shin Jyutsu immunity finger hold practice in the last ten minutes you can do by itself.

Recovering from a head cold now and I can already feel an energy boost! Am going to have some ginger tea and lemon now. Much love!

maggie.preston, posted on February 16, 2016

great practice for while I am in cold-recovery mode. lots of stretching, just a little strengthening, some qi gong & breath of fire thrown in. Nice transition from one pose to the next. A couple of the poses could have used a wee bit longer (pigeon comes to mind) but that's a minor quibble.
I imagine this would also be useful to do right when starting to come down with a cold.

This has been a good practice for me in the early afternoon it seems. My body feels less tense and more loose.

I am really enjoying this practice in the morning. Relaxing and invigorating at the same time. Thank you so much!

This is a great practice any time of the day. I did it this morning but I could imagine winding down at the end of the day to this practice as well. THanks,

This was a good morning practice for me. I do think I'll do it again. Her cues were good and she didn't have that annoying chat.

We're glad you enjoyed the practice.

So, I felt I was coming down with a cold and decided to do this practice. It really felt amazing. I loved the different poses I encountered, the way my body felt afterward was refreshing. And the "Lion's Breath" felt very soothing. However, I got sick the very next day! Run down... tired, and the very next day I was sucking on throat lozenges and downing water and vitamin C. I wonder if this practice made my immune system more able to fight off the sickness, or if my body would have responded differently to this virus.

Wonder if Gaiam can explore technical aspects. Fabulous practice but keeps freezing. I have a new tablet so curious about reason? Thanks!

I didn't get any freezes.

A fantastic practice! Lots of interesting poses. Loved the Lions Breath. Loved the double pigeon (which I've known as "Fire Log" at other times). And the balance between sitting and standing postures was very enjoyable.

I love all of your classes Mara! This one is just what I needed today, it is my son's birthday and I was feeling a little sluggish and it gave me the boost I needed to get all of my chores done. Thank you . Namaste

@blaane hi. I am out in San Diego but originally from your area. South Elgin to be exact. Just great to see someone from a familiar place. Funny, I have just returned from a long visit. Namaste.

I've been sick, feeling really stiff and flat for a couple of weeks and this yoga practice was exactly what I needed to get my body moving again. I really enjoyed the postures and the tapping to help dissipate all the stagnant heavy energy that's been pervading my body. Thank you.

JuliAnneM, posted on July 4, 2013

I really enjoyed this class. Thanks Mara! Very relaxing but stretched out all the creaks in my body this AM.

chrisabeck, posted on May 16, 2013

This sequence was very effective for me as a bed-time flow. I teach Zumba & need to do Yoga afterwards to recover my body. This was a good balance of gentle poses. I really like the breathing & flowing leading in to some static position. The chest tapping technique was very effective as an anxiety release technique. I will be doing this flow a lot before bed to help slow me down enough to go to sleep and stay asleep. Thank you!

sweethearttx, posted on May 10, 2013

I honestly did not enjoy this practice. The sequence didn't feel good for my body, but the biggest issue I had was that the cues were not effective and were not always in line with what she was doing. Disappointed. :(

Hi @Bbranch3,
Thanks for letting us know! We've gone and slightly adjusted Mara's voiceover so that it's no longer after she moves into the poses. Hopefully this will make it easier to follow this great class.

I love this practice for when I'm feeling like I'm coming down with something (like today!). It allows me to continue to practice but in a way that feels like I'm really taking care of myself and connecting with my physical body. Love it.

Bbranch3, posted on March 10, 2013

Nice series of moves. However the voiceover seems late. She is often already in the poses before instructing you to move into them. This is especially frustrating when you are facing away from the video.
