Raymond Moody

Best known for his book "Life After Life," Raymond Moody is a best-selling and award-winning author, psychologist, physician, and philosopher.

The author of 12 books, Raymond Moody is famous for writing about life after death and near-death experiences, a term he coined in his 1975 best-seller "Life After Life." As a world-renowned scholar, researcher, and private counselor, Moody is recognized as the father of near-death-experience Psychology for his research into what happens when a person dies.

Moody earned his bachelor's degree (1966), masters degree (1967) and a Ph.D. (1969) in philosophy from the University of Virginia. He later received a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of West Georgia where he later became a professor. In 1976, Moody earned a M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia.
