Colonizing Mars with Robert Zubrin

Just over the proverbial horizon, the first colony of human beings on Mars awaits. Before we can finally realize this dream, a great deal of research and hard work needs to be completed. However, the shadow of our planet’s energy crisis darkens the brilliance of visionary Martian projects. Every day, Robert Zubrin works to bring us closer to colonizing Mars and he details what we can expect as we finally broach this new horizon in this interview with George Noory.

Dr. Robert Zubrin is the founder and President of the Mars Society, as well as a member of the organization's Board of Directors. Formerly a Staff Engineer at Lockheed Martin Astronautics in Denver, he holds a Masters degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics and a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Washington. He has authored over 100 published technical and non-technical papers in the field, as well as written several books.
