More Details

How do we respond when our physical limits are tested on the mat? In this session, Lauren Lewis yoga invites you to treat your practice as a compassionate mirror, allowing every posture to reflect self-acceptance rather than judgment. When we encounter difficult postures or transitions, our immediate reaction is often frustration or a desire to push past our boundaries. This practice offers a different path, encouraging you to observe your reactions without criticism.

This level 2 vinyasa flow is designed to help intermediate practitioners navigate challenging transitions with grace and steady breathing. Through a sequence of lunges, deep twists, and a heart-opening vinyasa flow, you will cultivate mindful self-reflection in yoga. By maintaining a continuous connection to your heart center, this compassionate movement practice transforms physical effort into an opportunity for deep, embodied self-compassion. As you move through each posture, you are invited to consciously shift your thoughts in a compassionate direction, building the mental and emotional muscles needed to support yourself both on and off the mat.

The physical sequence is carefully structured to open the body while grounding the mind. We begin with warming movements that prepare the spine and hips, gradually building toward more dynamic sequences. The inclusion of lunges helps build stability and strength, while twists encourage detoxification and spinal mobility. The heart-opening sequences serve as a physical manifestation of vulnerability and courage, allowing you to breathe space into the chest and shoulders. Throughout the entire 20-minute session, the focus remains on the quality of your attention rather than the perfection of the pose.
