Jane Ellison's class is for yogis who love to run or want to start running. Warming up properly before a run helps prevent injury and improve performance. Static stretching is not warming up and is counter-indicated before running! This class will take you through the steps of increasing heart rate and blood flow to your muscles, loosening and preparing joints for increased efficiency, and using dynamic stretching to prepare your major running muscles safely and effectively. The session will awaken your nervous system for the increased proprioception that leads to quicker reflexes and improved balance. This class increases blood flow to whole body and prepares major running muscles and joints dynamically and safely. Be gentle while running if impact is hard on your body.
