Treasure Tea

This tea recipe strengthens the kidneys and adrenals, fortifying the Three Treasures of Taoist tonic herbalism - jing (essence), qi (energy), and shen (spirit). It is adaptogenic and contains potent antioxidants.

Reishi mushroom is known in Taoist tonic herbalism as a shen stabilizer. This means reishi supports the body's defense against any kind of threat to its equilibrium, helping the body to maintain balance. Reishi mushroom can calm the mind, as well as improve memory, concentration, and focus - qualities often lost due to adrenal fatigue.

Cordyceps benefits the lungs, heart, and kidneys, and stimulates immune function. Because of the adrenal support and jing energy cordyceps provides it may be especially useful for people who are under significant stress.

Astragalus is a qi tonic with antimicrobial and adaptogenic properties. Astragalus is well-known for the way it supports the immune system in fighting infection. Astragalus has the power to fortify, moment-to- moment, our natural chemical stress-defense shield.
