AdrenalCalm Tea

If stress becomes chronic and long-term, our circadian rhythms become disturbed and our natural stress-reducing nervous system biofeedback loops become degraded; as a result, we experience adrenal fatigue. This adaptogenic tea is great to help de-stress the nervous system, kidneys, and adrenals, as well as to help soothe an overactive fight-or-flight response.

Nettle leaves are a rich source of minerals, especially calcium and silica. They also contain vitamin C to improve calcium absorption and immune function, prevent free radical damage, and build collagen. Nettle is anti-inflammatory and supports proper adrenal function.

Licorice helps rebuild the adrenals. In China, middle-aged women routinely take herbs such as ginseng and licorice for adrenal support.

Ginseng improves mental and physical stamina and is a wonderful herb used specifically for adrenal fatigue. It improves circulation, balances blood sugar, and is an antioxidant and antispasmodic.

Valerian may help relieve symptoms of severe tiredness and anxiety. Valerian is effective as both a long-term tonic for the nerves and as a remedy for acute or chronic conditions such as pain or headaches.

Horsetail is calming and has a stabilizing effect on the immune system. It detoxifies and is beneficial to the adrenal glands.
