Featuring: Gordon Kennedy

When Gordon Kennedy’s wife, Carol, passed away, he sought solace in his work as an iron artist. Fascinated by the natural, ever-changing designs of oxidization, Kennedy uses rust to his advantage, creating abstract metal sculptures that are richly colored with what he likes to call, “nature’s patina.” Rust is a portrait of a person using the thrill of creative self-expression to find a new perspective on life and overcoming tragedy.
