Antigravity and flight has always propelled the efforts of artists and visionaries. In episode 5 of Deep Space, researchers discuss the life and work of artist Charles A. A. Dellschau and inventor T. Thompson Brown. These individuals were not well known in the mainstream but demonstrated unique perspectives and insights that still intrigue antigravity researchers and conspiracy theorists today.
Is there a connection between an artist and a scientist that, when their stories are combined, uncovers the hidden history of antigravity? Did an artist’s eye and an under-the-radar scientist create the foundation for the field of antigravity? Let your imagination take flight through this portrait of an artist and a scientist.
”Aeroplanes are not designed by science but by art in spite of some pretence and humbug to the contrary. I do not suggest that engineering can do without science, on the contrary, it stands on scientific foundations, but there is a big gap between scientific research and the engineering product which has to be bridged by the art of the engineer."

Who was Charles A. A. Dellschau?
Prussian born outsider artist Charles August Albert Dellschau (1830-1923) immigrated to Texas at age 19. Trained as a butcher and Confederate soldier, Dellschau became a self-taught artist and draughtsman who created hundreds of detailed watercolors of flying craft which ranged from the realistic to the fantastic. In the 1850s, the artist became affiliated with the mysterious Sonora Aero Club. This fraternity from Sonora, California participated in the balloon hysteria of the time.
In Western Europe, military personnel and civilians designed, built, and flew hydrogen air balloons. Of these revolutionary flying craft, few flew and many died. Dellschau’s actual involvement with the California Aero Club remains somewhat tenuous considering the lack of records connecting the two parties. It may be possible his Prussian heritage united him with what would have been a Eurocentric elite group experimenting with air travel.
Encounters with Flying Airships
The nature of Dellschau’s work suggests however, his encounter with flying airships to be purely imagined. The paintings, which comprise 12 codices, are so fantastic that it is unlikely they portray any accurate representation of primitive flying technology.
Charles A. A. Dellschau, "Somers Rondo Flank", October 12, 1909, 17 x 20 in. Collection of George Morton and Karol Howard.
Dellschau’s work has been compared to other early outsider painters such as Swiss Adolf Wölfli (1864-1930) in terms of color, composition, and use of motifs such as the mandala. Like Wölfli, and other untrained painters, Dellschau reached his creative peak in middle age. The Prussian born artist created perhaps a thousand watercolors depicting flying craft, air balloons, engines, generators, and both real and imagined antigravity technology.
From Thomas McEvilley, James Brett, Roger Cardinal, Tracy Baker‑White, "Charles A. A. Dellschau" (2013), pg. 186.
Often, Charles sketched the apparatuses, or as he called “aeros,” as annotated bisections with accompanying newspaper clippings and other multimedia. Dellschau worked in collage several decades before Pablo Picasso invented the artistic medium as it is understood today. Pieced together, the pasted fragments of newspaper documented one individual’s understanding of the Great 1897 Airship mystery, an early UFO phenomenon.
An Almost Forgotten Portfolio
This artist and his work came very close to being completely forgotten. In 1968, an antique dealer named Fred Washington discovered pages of Dellschau’s portfolio flying out of a truck on its way to the local dump. Washington loaned selected works to a local university for a public exhibition. After seeing the watercolors and collaged works at the exhibition and researcher P.G. Navarro became obsessed with Charles A. A. Dellschau and devoted most of his life to studying the artist’s life. After careful inspection Navarro discovered a hidden code within Dellschau’s oeuvre.
NYMZA: A Secret Group Uncovered
Strange symbols resembling Greek and Roman letters can be found interwoven between misspelled English and German text. Navarro discovered that Dellschau used a simple cypher, and that the recurring symbols, “ĐM=XØ” translates to NYMZA. In consideration of the consistent design and repetition throughout the 12 books It would appear contextually that NYMZA would be the acronym and logo for a secret group.
Who Was Thomas Townsend Brown?
”At Caltech I failed in Chemistry and Physics! My other grades were good. Reason I failed - I disagreed with the policies of the Institution limiting time spent on experiments in the laboratory. As soon as I'd get my experiment set up, the bell would ring and I would have to disassemble everything. I never could finish an experiment. That's when I became determined to have the lab at home, where I could take my time and do the kind of job I felt should be done.”

The Biefeld-Brown Effect
American inventor Thomas Townsend Brown or T. Townsend Brown (1905-1985) discovered an electrogravitic phenomenon known as the “Biefeld-Brown Effect.” In sum, when two electrodes of unequal size are powered with a high voltage between them, air molecules become ionized near the sharp points and edges of the electrodes. An ionic wind is generated, which transfers its momentum to the surrounding neutral particles.
According to scientist Dr. Richard Boylan, the most primitive antigravity technology is electrogravitic: “This involves using voltages in the millions of volts to disrupt the ambient gravitational field.” This is relevant to the work of T. Thompson Brown. In this episode of Deep Space, physicist and astronomer Paul LaViollete summarizes the seed of Brown’s research in this field, so to speak: “It is true there is a correlation between charge and gravity… If you can create what is called unbalanced forces on the capacitor, the charge on one side of the capacitor pushes on the capacitor one way a different amount than the other charge pushes the other way.”
This may be a simple concept to grasp, but as David Wilcock posits, this fact of physics has been too often occluded: we should not be made to believe that "gravity is one thing and electromagnetic energy is something else." Researchers such as Boylan believe that electrogravitic technologies power military aircraft such as the B-2 Stealth Bomber and the TR3-B Astra triangular craft.
Other Methods of Antigravity
In addition to electrogravitic technology, antigravity craft can also employ magnetogravitic properties. Magnetogravitic antigravity involves generating high-energy torsion fields spun at high RPMs which disrupts the surrounding gravitational field. The generated force counters that of the Earth’s gravitational field. It is torsion flields that constitute the basis of Nikolai Aleksandrovich Kozyrev’s work and possibly the antigravitational properties powering the Nazi Bell or Die Gloke.
Harnessing the Gravitational Strong Force of Ununpentium
According to Boylan, a third method “is direct generation and harnessing of the gravitational strong force. Such a strong-force field extends slightly beyond the atomic nucleus of Element 115 . . . by amplifying that exposed gravitational strong force, and using antimatter reactor high energy, and then directing it, it is possible to lift a craft from Earth.” Element 115, also known as Ununpentium, is a superheavy synthetic element that could only naturally occur in a double star solar system. This discovery suggests that early antigravity technology using this element would likely be of extraterrestrial origin.
A Future With Antigravity Technology
Antigravity technology offers many advantages to the modern world, including the promise of clean energy. However, it’s use may diminish the powerful hold major corporations have on energy markets. Freedom of technology, just like freedom of information, potentially threatens the global elite, the richest of the rich, and could disrupt the current status of international superpowers. Uncover more about the hidden history of antigravity technology on Deep Space: pay close attention as the merging of art and science may continue to unveil answers critical to the future of humankind. Misinformation abounds and it is up to you, dear reader, to seek the truth.

Unfolding Operation Paperclip
On July 6th, 1945 the United States Joint Chiefs of Staff approved a classified memorandum titled the “Exploitation of German Specialists in Science and Technology in the United States.” The Military Intelligence Division of the War Department, G-2, issued a memo out to eight agencies of the War Department that German specialists could be implemented within US intelligence to promote post-war military research.
Initially known as “Operation Overcast,” Operation Paperclip assembled more than 1,500 German and Austrian specialists to participate in a post-war intelligence program facilitated by the United States Office of Strategic Services (OSS). This initiative, designed to drain the brain trust of Germany, was fueled by conflicts between the United States and the Soviet Union.
Although the USSR and the US were Allies, after WWII tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union escalated to the Cold War. Why?
After World War Two, Soviets occupied eastern Europe including Poland, East Berlin, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, which all became satellite entities of the Soviet Union.

Although the Soviet Union joined the Allies during WWII, the USSR remained a concern to US intelligence and national security. As early as the 1920s, the Soviet Union established espionage programs within the United States. This was part of the Communist program, that was to convert the world masses to their ideology.
Did the USSR intimidate other nations? Did other world powers seek German intelligence for national defense?
In Gaia’s fourth episode of Deep Space “Dark Alliance,” researcher David Hatcher Childress explains that Great Britain could not have assimilated Nazi scientists into a permanent space program due to the fact that the Third Reich inflicted insurmountable devastation upon the UK, particularly London. The United States however, had enough distance between them and Germany to facilitate such a program. Therefore, it was imperative that the United States build military power that could match its closest threat and former ally.
It was not widely publicized that the UK first gleaned scientific information from the Nazi scientists the after Germany surrendered in May 1945.
When the British learned that the US was recruiting German scientists, they asked to use the specialists for their own rocket studies first. The US consented, and released German scientists, such as Wernher von Braun, Walter Dornberger, and Arthur Rudolph, into the British project known as “Operation Backfire.” The purpose of this operation was to conduct a series of V-2 tests on Germany’s north coast. Wernher Von Braun’s V-2 rocket was in fact one of the German weapons that demolished many parts of London. Aptly named, Operation Backfire thwarted American plans to intercept German individuals indefinitely and not all scientists were returned to aid the US.
Did the United States make other Faustian bargains?
Operation Paperclip was not the first time that the United States government sacrificed moral integrity in the name of scientific advancement. Following the Axis’ surrender, the US discovered Japanese war atrocities in Manchuria. In Unit 731 the Imperial Japanese Army conducted gruesome experiments including vivisections, forced biological and chemical procedures on the local Chinese population. When it came to prosecuting war crimes, the United States looked the other way and took this information for personal gain.
What was the greatest asset gained by the United States government?
Wernher von Braun
"Science does not have a moral dimension. It is like a knife. If you give it to a surgeon or a murderer, each will use it differently."
Von Braun in 1964
Since childhood, rocketry and space exploration fascinated Wernher Magnus Maximilian Freiherr von Braun (1912 – 1977), and early in life the math and science prodigy earned degrees in mechanical engineering and physics. Soon after completion of his doctorate, Wernher became the technical director of the V-weapons program for the German army and an official for the Mittelbau-Dora Planning office, a division of the SS.
For many historians, von Braun’s Nazi affiliation remains ambivalent and ambiguous. The scientist stated that he was forced to join the National Socialist Party in 1939, and that his “membership in the party did not involve any political activity.” However, records show that von Braun applied for an official Nazi party membership number in November, 1937. It also cannot be said that von Braun, ambivalent or not, remained ignorant to the human suffering that aided the V-2 program. Von Braun admitted to visiting weapon production plants where concentration camp prisoners provided slave labor.
Upon surrender in 1945, von Braun may have been a primary negotiator to bring himself and over 100 other rocket scientists into the Operation Paperclip program. Upon his arrival at the White Sands Proving Ground in New Mexico, the German began his work helping US scientists reverse engineer looted V-2 rockets.
Following Sputnik’s launch (1957) and the start of the space race, von Braun managed the design team building the first American satellite and the apparatuses that propelled John Glenn into orbit. Eventually, Wernher von Braun became the director of NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center and the lead designer of Saturn V rocket, the vehicle which launched Americans to the moon in 1969.
Recently, an episode of This American Life told a unique story concerning von Braun’s detainment at P.O. Box 1142 in Fort Hunt, Virginia. Digging deeper, one can find the Nazi scientist popping up in other places of pop culture. From Tom Lehrer’s comic tune to Disney’s 1950s space specials, Werner von Braun left behind a powerful legacy.
Did the Nazis leave any other signs behind that might suggest they were involved in the secret space program?
Fascist Iconography and UFOs
In his interview in “Dark Alliance” and in his book The Secret Space Age (2014) Olav Phillips references Otto Binder’s 1972 article “Secret Messages from UFO’s” published by Saga. Phillips posits that the symbols sighted on post-war UFOs may be the smoking gun to the connection between the Nazi/American alliance and government commissioned UFOs. Why would recognizable Western symbols mark extraterrestrial aircraft?
Phillips makes the point that, “An alien intelligence would think, feel and write in an alien way . . . if an alien were to place marking on their spaceship they would use alien writing not english or any other earthbound language.”
Many can recognize the Nazi swastika, but there are other lesser known fascist symbols spotted on unidentified spacecraft?
The Fasces or fascio littorio was an ancient Roman symbol, and the term fascism originated from the emblem. The fasces is a bundle of rods or sticks bound around an axe. Historically, this item was presented to Roman magistrates as a symbol of their singular jurisdiction over the population. The axe, an allegory of the power, and the reeds, a symbol of the people continued as an icon of governmental control into neoclassical architectural design. For example, two bronze fasci frame the US flag in the House of Representatives interior. In Italy, the fasces symbolized new Italian unification while simultaneously enforcing the idea of a revitalized Roman empire headed by the Duce. Phillips believes that a trinity of fasci marked a UFO spotted in 1967 over Madrid, Spain.

The Wolfsangel, in its abstracted form as a horizontal or vertical “f” or “z” shape, was an antiquated wolf trap in which meat would be hung from a forked metal apparatus. This device took on mystical associations and became a symbol of German peasant independence during the 15th century. The emblem appears on German coat of arms, SS Panzer Uniforms, and was used by the Nationalist Socialist Movement of the Netherlands during WWII. In 1954, the vertical “f” version of the Wolfsangel appeared on a UFO over the San Bernardino Mountains.

The double thunderbolt symbol identified members of the Schutzstaffel (SS), the organization that maintained the Nazi police state under Heinrich Himmler. Derived from pre-Roman runes, the double thunderbolt continues as a symbol for white supremacists today. The British Union of Fascists used a thunderbolt inclosed within a perfect circle to symbolize “a flash of action embedded in the circle of unity.” In 1973, a Belgian man sighted a UFO marked with a long thunderbolt inside a dark ring. According to Olav Phillips, this image bears a striking resemblance to the logo of the British Union of Fascists.

Studying the Symbols that Surround Us
In the words of Olav Phillips, “as humans we label things . . . we name our cities, streets, and just about anything. We do this a lot for reasons but those markings are significant and in a military or governmental sense are required to designate things like squadrons, purposes, and home bases.”
Symbols, Icons, and ancient imagery surround our everyday lives. Symbols appear in our homes, our offices, our public buildings, and our online universe often have a deeper historical meaning. Look around your environment and discover when and where these symbols appear. Do your own research into their origins, and reflect on their meaning. Are they alchemical, are they religious, are they esoteric, or are they ancient? Consciously or unconsciously, these signifiers anchor us in our place in history, in the world, and in the greater universe.
Episode 3: German Saucers
"They took everything from me. Everything. I don’t even own myself.” -Viktor Schauberger
##Who was Viktor Schauberger?
An important protagonist of the German saucer story, Viktor Schauberger, was an Austrian citizen from humble origins. Viktor Schauberger (1885-1958), invented several flying disc prototypes between 1938-1945. According to eyewitnesses, many of his models defied gravity. Unfortunately, these experimental successes sealed Schauberger’s tragic fate.
Image Courtsey of schauberger.co.uk
Since childhood, nature played a significant part in the inventor’s life and scientific pursuits. In 1919, Schauberger began work as a forest warden. Five years later, Viktor became a timber flotation consultant and built water channeling systems in Austria, Bavaria and Yugoslavia. In 1929, this civil engineer filed patents for turbines and other hydro-engineering developments. Water became an essential element in Schauberger’s research. His study of implosion vortexes by observing trout swimming with and against the current led to his famous statement that “birds did not fly they were flown and fish did not swim they were swum.”
This observation unlocked a hidden insight into energy distribution in nature and the power of the phenomenal universe. For a more detailed study of Viktor’s discoveries, read Olof Alexandersson’s text Living Water: Viktor Schauberger and the Secrets of Natural Energy (2002). Implosion vortexes, turbines, and cyclones inspired Viktor Schauberger to create a device known as the repulsine, an invention that resembled a flattened toy top. Inside this device concentric rings funneled water and air to create forces that could be channeled into anti-gravitational propulsion.
In 1940, Schauberger built the first repulsine. This prototype reportedly broke from its anchoring and penetrated the laboratory ceiling. Eventually, word of the repulsine and its fantastic power piqued the interests of the SS. Schauberger’s inventions became part of the German flying saucer narrative including developments within the Luftwaffe, the Nazi Bell, the Haunebu flying saucers, the future development of NASA, and ultimately the current state of the secret space program. Despite Schauberger’s successes, his collaboration with evil forces left its mark upon his life. The inventor admitted:
”They called me deranged. The hope is that they are right. It is of no greater or lesser import for another fool to wander the earth. But if I am right and science is wrong - then may the Lord God have mercy on mankind. The destructive and dissolving form of movement is centrifugal in Nature.”
At the threat of torture and death, Schauberger began his scientific service for the SS in 1944. Unfortunately, most evidence of his research for the Third Reich was destroyed by the orders of panicked German commanders and by Allied forces.
After his ordeal with the Nazis, Russian troops detonated his apartment in Leonstein, Austria. Like many of Austrian/German scientists and engineers, the inventor fell under the employ of United States aeronautical research programs. In 1958, Schauberger moved to Texas to collaborate with a top secret military project. After a short time, the inventor refused to work and demanded his return to Europe. After arriving in Austria penniless and disillusioned, Viktor died from mysterious circumstances that same year.
Most of Viktor Schauberger’s work remains unknown by popular scientific history but he left a legacy that inspires scientists to this day. In the 1950s, a Swedish science group (which eventually became the Institute for Ecological Technology), became invested in the research and future development of Schauberger’s discoveries. Even now, Schauberger’s research is essential for scientists and engineers engaged in water purification, hydraulic power, and centrifugal force energy.
The repulsine, like the Nazi bell or Die Glocke, became part of the Nazi pantheon of Wunderwaffe or “Wonder Weapons.” These fantastic military inventions were kept in extreme secrecy in Germany, as well as in conquered locations such as Silesia, a regiod of Poland. Some of the well known Wunderwaffe include Nazi U-boats, aircraft carriers, artillery, armored vehicles, and most importantly tactical aircraft. One of these wunder aircraft became a stealth fighter known as the Horten Ho 229, one of the fastest jet fighters known at the time. In fact, researchers such as Mike Bara believe these aircraft were the UFOs spotted by Kenneth Arnold. Were there other secret weapons? Have whistle blowers or investigators come forward recently? In the 1990s a Polish intelligence officer interrogated journalist Igor Witkowski regarding the Bell. In his text, The Truth About the Wunderwaffe (2003), Witkowski revealed a key piece of information during his examination:
“Among other things [the intelligence officer] asked me if I had ever come into contact with a device developed by the Germans, which was code-named ‘the Bell.’”
What was the Bell? A flying saucer? A generator? Or, an interdimensional research project?
The Bell or “Die Glocke” was one of the many pieces of German technology that can be understood as a primitive flying apparatus using electromagnetic and vortex technologies gleaned from Nazis, Nazi supporters, converted scientists, secret societies, and extraterrestrial entities. Supposedly this relic of Nazi exotic technology synthesised Viktor Schauberger’s vortex research, electrically charged mercury, and esoteric knowledge gathered from individuals such as Maria Orsic, a member of the Vril society.
Die Glocke mechanized two nesting cylinders that rapidly spun mercury in opposite directions. These cylinders were anchored to a hollow metal core in which a cocktail of serums were injected prior to each experiment. A ceramic bell-shaped covering housed the entire array. The Bell was reported to produce blue luminescence, a hypnotic buzzing sound as well as a number of damaging effects upon experimenters’ nervous systems. Any proximity to the device was highly dangerous. Reportedly the device wrecked havoc on animal tissues and plant cells due to high levels of radiation and altered magnetic fields. A prototype generator for the German flying saucers, the Bell essentially manipulated electromagnetic forces and gravitational physics. For an in-depth examination of the Bell, read The SS Brotherhood of the Bell (2006) by Joseph P. Farrell.
Is there physical evidence of The Bell today?
Allegedly a cement harness structure resembling a circular stonehenge for Die Glocke remains today. Skeptics believe that the assemblage in Ludwigsdorf (currently Ludwikowice Kłodzkie, Poland) is the structural ruins of a cooling tower. However, many researchers believe the “henge” to be a test rig for objects displaying anti-gravitational propulsion.
Was the Bell’s technology ever used in war?
Admiral Richard E. Byrd and Operation Highjump
Rear Admiral Richard Evelyn Byrd, Jr. (1888-1957) participated in both World Wars and earned many accolades for his accomplishments in aviation and arctic travel. Byrd crossed the North Pole by plane and completed one of the first transatlantic flights. Soon after, he became an overnight sensation and a national hero. His notoriety as an American explorer publicised many popular newsreels and films after The Great War.
From 1946 to 1947, Byrd organized The United States Navy Antarctic Developments Program also known as “Operation Highjump.” According to government records, the purpose of this top-secret expedition was to establish a research base. Following the end of WWII, it is unlikely this mission was unrelated to United States’ conflict with Axis powers. The mission was cut short due to “threatening weather conditions.” In 1947, the Chilean newspaper El Mercurio published the Admiral’s experience in the South Pole: “Admiral Richard E. Byrd warned today that the United States should adopt measures of protection against the possibility of an invasion of the country by hostile planes coming from the polar regions. The admiral explained that he was not trying to scare anyone, but the cruel reality is that in case of a new war, the United States could be attacked by planes flying over one or both poles.”
What did Byrd encounter in Antarctica?
Researchers believe that Byrd and his fleet set out to capture Nazis that escaped to the South Pole after the fall of the Third Reich. The “hostile planes” referred to in Byrd’s article may have been German engineered flying saucers known as the Haunebu. Following the war, some high profile Nazis were able to escape to Antarctica, Spain, the Vatican, and locales in South America. It is believed that the Germans established a base and top-secret arsenal in an area of Antarctica known as Neuschwabenland.
This narrative also relates to the theories surrounding extraterrestrial presences in Agartha or hollow Earth. Other Naval missions headed by the US Navy followed Operation Highjump, and the US government still maintains a strong military presence on the frozen continent in the form of the United States Antarctic Program or (USAP) today. Richard E. Byrd died in 1957, shortly after his tour in Operation Deep Freeze (1955-1957). Many consider Byrd’s mysterious death, like that of James Forrestal, to be the subject of conspiratorial assassination.
Was the true story behind Operation Highjump ever revealed?
It may be possible that the fantastic story of Admiral Byrd’s encounter with otherworldly technology became adapted within popular media as a form of informal disclosure. Operation Highjump first became popularized in the feature film The Thing from Another World (1951). Two remakes followed this cult classic: John Carpenter’s The Thing (1982) and The Thing (2011).

Episode 2: Mysteries of the Solar System
For many, making contact with beings from other worlds remains only a topic for ghost stories, teenage goths, or perhaps an innocent parlor game with a dusty Ouija board.
Since ancient times, contact with other worldly beings was understood as a source of privileged information for mortals. In ancient Greek culture, the muses inspired mortals with insights into the arts and sciences. Across the globe, diviners and mediums became portals of communication between the living and entities that crossed to the other side.
Is there a deeper meaning and history to practices such as séances, automatic writing and channeling by mediums?
Spiritualism, Technology and Post-War Culture
Activities channeling otherworldly beings were a widespread phenomenon in Europe following new developments in psychology outlined by revolutionaries such as Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung. Social interest in channeling, séance, parapsychology and automatic writing began in the Victorian era and continued after WWII.
Following the devastation of WWI, devout Christian and Catholic families indulged in private channelings of spirits of their departed loved ones. Fascist parties such as the Italian black shirts and the Nazi Party, who reunited nationalism with mysticism, further manifested these practices. Italian fascists and Nazis alike indulged in what, in today’s terms, would be perceived as ritualistic and heretic.
Nazis practiced many ritualistic activities, which ranged from mass initiations to baptizing their swastika flags (known as Blutfahne) in blood of fallen martyrs. The connections between occult studies and the Nazi party extended beyond Hitler’s embrace of Helena Blavatsky’s premonition that an “Aryan race” (a misused term; the Aryans are in fact individuals of Persian heritage) would emerge as the dominant people of a new age. Germans sought mystical objects, looted art and attempted to rewrite their history into myth. For Italians and Germans, fascist culture sought to unite the future with the values and symbols of their ancient pasts.
Curiously, twentieth century occultism often attracted a strong connection to technology. For example, Italian fascists extended funding and patronage to an artistic group known as the Futurists. This entourage of extreme nationalistic poets and artists extolled death, machines, and war. Within their poetry and art, Futurists dreamed of a future where machine and man fused as one. Within the work of this collective we begin to see early concepts of cyborgs and transhumanism.
On the other hand, the German National Socialists dreamed of rebuilding a modern Germania. Hitler and Speer planned to redesign Berlin as a futuristic neo-classical utopia connected by a hyper speed network of roads, which today we know as the Autobahn. The Germans were and are today known for their skill in design and engineering, and their Luftwaffe was unsurpassed by the Allies during WWII. Is it possible they had help?
The narrative concerning German medium Maria Orsic remains an obscure footnote in the studies of modern history and that of the occult interests and esoteric studies embraced by the Third Reich.
Who was Maria Orsic?
Maria Orsic was a member of a German occult society known as the Vril. The Vril belonged to a network of exclusive groups including the Thule Society and the Order of the Black Sun. Vril originated from the Latin “virile” and from esoteric texts such as Sir Edward Bulwer-Lytton’s The Coming of the New Race (1872), in which Vril signifies power, light force and supernatural ability.
Maria Orsic. Image courtesy of Bibliotecapleyades.
These concepts mirror Madame Blavatsky’s theosophical work The Secret Doctrine (1888) in terms of its prophetic motive. The Vril united a sisterhood of mediums, who facilitated private séances for the German elite.
However, Maria Orsic made contact with beings beyond the realm of the dead. In 1919, an inner circle of the Vril and Thule societies gathered in Ramsau, Austria for private meeting. In this congregation, Maria Orsic presented strange transcripts of her communications with entities from Aldebaran, a star in the Taurus constellation.
According to her contemporaries, Maria channeled these entities and recorded the encounter via automatic writing. During these sessions, Orsic penned verses in Sumerian with accompanying sketches of saucer-like spacecraft. Additionally, the beings gifted Maria with the wisdom to harness free energy and to build a utopia free from greed over natural resources. Supposedly, the Nazi party intercepted this contact to benefit their need for military innovation. Maria’s aircraft designs were developed into prototypes and were later adapted with other technologies gathered from antigravity research by scientists such as Viktor Schauberger.
What happened to Maria Orsich and the Vril society remains unknown, but many speculate the group continued its legacy into space programs today. In fact, NASA rocket scientists such as Dr. Hermann Oberth confessed they received help from people from other worlds.
Are there others who have been contacted?
Philip K. Dick and VALIS
American novelist Philip K. Dick involuntarily became another interstellar medium. Dick published 44 novels and over 100 short stories. Many of these science fiction works were adapted to film and television, such as Blade Runner, Total Recall, and Minority Report.
One of the most recent adaptations, The Man in the High Castle, was recently adapted into a 2015 TV series. In 1974 Philip K. Dick experienced what some would call psychosis or insanity.
Following a routine wisdom tooth removal, the science fiction author took a large amount of sodium pentothal. At home, Dick received a vision of his past life as an early Christian. Soon after, a beam of pink light or plasma penetrated the author’s consciousness and transferred critical information concerning his son’s undetected hernia.
These experiences continued, and after several years of serious contemplation Philip K. Dick documented his experience in a series of novels concerning artificial intelligence, reality, and consciousness beginning with the text VALIS.
VALIS (an acronym for Vast Active Living Intelligence System) is Philip K. Dick’s semi-autobiographical novel published 1981. Not unlike Herman Hesse’s Harry Haller in Steppenwolf (1927), Philip K. Dick created an alter ego called Horselover Fat who suffers an existential mental collapse parallel to a midlife crisis.
VALIS begins as a very commonplace storyline; a man stuck in the middle of the rotting fallout the 1960s in San Francisco. Surrounded by drug addiction and death, Horselover Fat encounters a divine plasmate, a neologism for “living knowledge,” and consequently insanity. VALIS documents the author/protagonist’s revelations about God, humanity, and reality. As Fat’s divine revelations develop, he assembles a following of disciples that aid his pursuit for uncovering the source of existence.
Throughout this process of seeking truth, Horselover Fat considers several causes for his religious experience: schizophrenia, pharmaceutical psychosis, and direct communication with an alien satellite.
All three possibilities suggest a synthetic reality cloaking all human perception.
VALIS is not so much a work of science fiction, but rather an abstracted memoir that tapped into an esoteric movement called Gnosticism.
What is Gnosticism?
In his novel, Dick offers a definition of Gnosticism for those unable to reconcile their belief in God and the state of their world: “In Gnosticism, man belongs with God against the world and the creator of the world (both of which are crazy, whether they realize it or not.)” In the digital and secular age, questions of purpose and reality continue a trajectory of skepticism and religious extremism across the globe. VALIS and major motion pictures such as Blade Runner (1982), The Matrix (1999), Dark City (1998) became part of a continuing dialogue and growing interest in Gnostic concepts.
Gnosticism is a school of thought that believes that transcendence is possible through intuition and personal religious experience outside established systems of theology or philosophy.
Where religions such as Buddhism and Christianity blame human nature as the source of universal suffering, Gnostics believe that a manipulative creator or demiurge imposes our imperfect reality. The demiurge however is subordinate to a supreme being that creates no illusionary existence but is purely spiritual in essence.
It cannot be said that Gnosticism remains completely separate from organized religion. There are in fact Gnostic Christians who see the Bible and the Trinity as conduits for Gnosis or insight. Within the VALIS series, Philip K. Dick contemplates his epiphany through a Christian lens. The 1981 edition of the novel published by Corgi, in which a supine Christ flies over earth as a jet-powered satellite, best illustrates this concept.
Some believe that an ancient extraterrestrial (ET) satellite known as the “Black Knight” targeted Philip K. Dick. This UFO remains a point of discussion between believers and skeptics. Not only do researchers believe this object to be of ancient origins, but its suggestively Masonic name implies a connection to an order within the Thule society known as the Black Knights.
The appearance of the Black Knight suggests that otherworldly influences on human consciousness may originate within our own solar system.
What recent discoveries in space exploration challenge our perspectives of existence, humanity, and significance in the universe?
Interstellar Discoveries and Alternative Histories
In our own solar system, one can find anomalies that challenge our perspective of the universe. One such mystery is the Titus-Bode Law. This law hypothesizes that every planet is twice as far from the sun as the previous planet. This is true except for the distance between Mars and Jupiter and the distance between Uranus and Neptune.
Between Mars and Jupiter is an asteroid belt. Some believe that this asteroid belt is the remnants of a destroyed ancient planet.
Given its position in the solar system this possible planet might have sustained organic and intelligent life. Researchers such as Linda Moulton Howe and John Brandenburg consider the possibilities of extraterrestrial life as former neighbors in the galaxy rather than light-years away from earth.
Brandenburg especially examines the chemical and elemental profiles of Mars in comparison to our planet. Brandenburg discovered that the isotope mass of Xenon 129 on Mars is astronomically denser than that of Earth. It is doubtful that these density levels could have naturally occurred but are the result of detonated nuclear weapons. Recently, NASA’s examination of Saturn’s moon Iapetus raises even more questions.

In 2014, NASA released high definition photos of this moon’s equatorial ridge, which goes all the way around and consists completely of straight edges. This six mile high wall suggests that Iapetus is an artificial satellite of mysterious origins.
As we explore other episodes of Deep Space it is best to keep in mind how these cultures, attitudes and thinkers did not die with the fall of the Third Reich but continued their presence into NASA. German scientist joined forces with the US space program after the war, and even former SS member Werner Von Braun became the director of the Marshall Space Flight center.
Maria Orsic, Adolf Hitler, Rudolf Hess, and Werner Von Braun form a constellation of individuals practicing scientific and esoteric studies which took seed in the new world. From Freemasonry to Scientology, occult symbolism and culture in America can be traced back to its 19th and 20th century roots in Western Europe. In the next episode of Deep Space we will explore the Nazi takeover of experimental extraterrestrial technology for personal gain in “German Saucers.”

Episode 1: Ancient Space Program
By Gaia Staff
Ancient civilizations inspire wonder, curiosity and questions about the origins of humanity. Many ancient sites, often found on ley lines, have mysterious and advanced infrastructure, architecture and technology that history and archaeology cannot explain.
Deep Space: A Call to Question History
Explore the mysteries of ancient civilizations and ponder the questions: Can we solve some of today’s most complex problems with the wisdom and technology of ancient civilizations? Is NASA on a covert quest to uncover ancient technologies? What can we learn from the ruins of ancient civilizations that you won’t find in government-sanctioned textbooks? What caused the sudden decline of so many ancient cities? Did the technology of ancient civilizations originate from extraterrestrials?
“I knew that a historian (or a journalist, or anyone telling a story) was forced to choose, out of an infinite number of facts, what to present, what to omit. And that decision inevitably would reflect, whether consciously or not, the interests of the historian.” ::Howard Zinn

What Are Ley Lines?
Ley lines, or dragon lines, are lines of geological and cultural significance that connect sacred sites geographically across the Earth. They are comprised of nodal points on the Earth’s energy grid. While ley lines may have been created due to overland trekking by line-of-sight navigation, they are often aligned with vortices, magnetic fields or underground streams. Is there a more intelligent design behind the placement of sacred sites on Earth?
Ley lines are lines of geological and cultural significance that connect sacred sites across the Earth.
“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”
Chaco Canyon, Teotihuacán and Pumapunku are just a few of the sacred sites that harbor mysterious beginnings and endings - and inspire endless questions, still unanswered. These sites, among many others, are also the focus of archaeoastronomical research on the astronomical knowledge of prehistoric cultures.
Chaco Canyon: The Ancient Observatory
Chaco Canyon is a shallow, 10-mile canyon is located in a remote and desolate northwest corner of New Mexico that housed an ancient and advanced civilization. Chaco Canyon may have been a distribution center for a large trading network: colorful parrot feathers, copper bells and seashells from up to 3,000 miles (4,800 km) away have been found in the ruins. Yet, the sudden decline of the people of Chaco Canyon and the construction of this ancient observatory remain unexplained.
- Location: Chaco Canyon, New Mexico, United States
- Peak Population: 2,000
- Peak Activity: 900-1150 AD/CE
- Known For: Chacoans quarried sandstone blocks and hauled timber across great distances, assembling fifteen major complexes that remained the largest buildings in North America until the 19th century. They are known for their trade activity, religious ceremonies and knowledge of astronomy
- Decline Began: 1130 AD/CE
- Archaeological Reason for Decline: Drought and lack of resources may have lead to a mass migration into the valleys and drainages of major rivers nearby
Original inhabitants were largely farmers until approximately 800 AD/CE, when they began constructing massive stone buildings based on astronomy. Generations of The Ancient Ones, also known as the Anasazi, dedicated themselves to building these pueblos: construction required transportation of sandstone from nearby cliffs and timber hauled from over 50 miles (80 km) away. The pueblos were aligned with the movements of the sun and the 18 ½ year lunar cycle, a feat not known to have been accomplished by other ancient civilizations.
What happened in 800 AD/CE that shifted this agrarian society to a mathematically advanced society that used complex calculations to create infrastructure based on astronomy?
Chaco Canyon is found on the Anasazi ley line, which precisely connects the Aztec Ruins and Casas Grandes along Longitude 107° 57'. The engineering of the site is still unexplained and large amounts of stone were moved miraculously.
Did Chacoans learn how to harness the energy of ley lines, vortices and magnetic fields? Could ley lines or magnetic fields be the key to a sustainable energy source?
Mystery of Decline
Chacoans disappeared without a trace. To this day, researchers have not found burial sites, despite habitation of the area for an estimated 300 years. Recent archaeological research questions the theory that depleted resources caused their decline. A Proceedings for the National Academy of Sciences report concludes that, “there is no substantive evidence for deforestation at Chaco and no obvious indications that the depopulation of the canyon in the 13th century was caused by any specific cultural practices or natural events.”
What happened to the people of Chaco Canyon in 1130 AD/CE to cause their sudden disappearance?
Teotihuacán: The City of the Gods
One of the largest metropolises in the ancient world, myth depicts Teotihuacán as the birthplace of creation. Spanning over 12 miles (20 km), this massive ancient city was one of the largest metropolises in the ancient world. With strange resemblances to modern day architecture, these massive complexes demonstrate advanced mathematics and astronomical sciences, similar to those incorporated into the design of the Egyptian Pyramids. While Teotihuacán means “City of Gods,” it may also be translated as “the place where men become gods” in Nahuatl. The construction of Teotihuacán and the sudden decline in population remain a mystery.
- Location: Teotihuacán, 40 km northeast of Mexico City, Mexico
- Peak Population: 250,000
- Peak Activity: 375-550 AD/CE (100 BC to 600 AD/CE)
- Known For: Teotihuacán was one of the largest cities in the ancient world and advanced design suggests complex mathematics and astronomical sciences, such as the infamous Pyramids of the Sun and Moon. They were also known for art, astronomy, architecture, religion and obsidian weaponry
- Decline Began: 550 AD/CE
- Archaeological Reason for Decline: Drought related to climate change may have lead to a civil unrest and mass migration; invasion may have also been a cause of decline because it appears that the city was sacked and systematically burned
The third largest pyramid in the world, the Pyramid of the Sun, and its underground tunnels display advanced astronomical knowledge. While the Pyramid of the Sun is oriented to a nearby mountain, Cerro Gordo, with the “purpose of employing a prominent peak on the local horizon as a natural marker of the Sun's position on the so-called quarter days of the year,” according to a report published in Latin American Antiquity. Other theories link the mapping of temples and buildings in Teotihuacán with the planets in our solar system.
How were the massive structures of Teotihuacán built? How was its celestial alignment determined?
Mass amounts of Mica, a mineral found over 1,800 miles (3,000 km) away, and Mercury were found throughout the city. Mica is a good electric insulator and stable at high temperatures: NASA uses it to build rockets. Mercury is found in electrical components and may be used to simulate antigravitational forces. The site strangely resembles a circuit board from a bird's eye view and some believe it may have housed a getaway spaceship.
Could Teotihuacán wisdom provide answers to modern questions regarding energy sustainability or propulsion technology?
Mystery of Decline
Ruins reveal that the city was suddenly abandoned and may have been systematically burned around 550 AD/CE.
What happened to the inhabitants of Teotihuacán? Was the city deliberately destroyed?
Pumapunku: The Door of the Puma
Known to the Inca as the site where the world was created, the ancient megaliths of Pumapunku weigh between 100-400 tons: archeologists and scientists are baffled at the precise and sophisticated manufacturing of the stones. High in the Andes mountains, at 12,800 feet (3,900 m) this ancient site lies on a ley line. The excavation of the Tiahuanaco ruins nearby only contributed more questions about the technologies used and the people who inhabited the area. With only remnants left to investigate, the stone blocks fit together like pieces in a puzzle.
- Location: Tiwanaku, Bolivia
- Peak Population: 400,000
- Peak Activity: 700-1000 AD/CE
- Known For: The people of Pumapunku are known for pottery and art, as well as the intricate engineering style of their infrastructure
- Decline Began: 1000 AD/CE
- Archaeological Reason for Decline: Rapid environmental change may have lead to drought or flooding; the occurrence of an earthquake is another possibility. As a result, the inhabitants of Pumapunku scattered into nearby mountain ranges
Built with massive stones, believed to have been hewn at quarries over 60 miles (97 km) away and rolled to Pumapunku on logs. However, the site lies at 12,800 feet (3,900 m) above the tree line, leaving doubt behind traditional archaeological theories. The site is composed of interlocking blocks, weighing tons, that would be difficult to move even today. The blocks were connected using liquid metal in joint that hardened as it cooled: this technique was also used to built the Egyptian Pyramids. Solstice markers mounted on the walls of megaliths would have aligned precisely with the sunrises for the summer and winter solstices 17,000 years ago.
How was its celestial alignment determined? Could Pumapunku have been built thousands of years ago prior to the Incas? Why do engineering tactics at Pumapunku resemble those of Ancient Egypt?
The site was constructed with advanced tools and knowledge. Finely cut doorways bear no chisel marks. Pumapunku is composed of granite and diorite, diorite being the second hardest stone after diamond, and difficult to cut. Some believe that its remains resemble missile silos or even launchpads and may have housed weaponry or technology.
Were the people of Pumapunku able to harness free energy to accomplish their engineering feats? Could there be answers to modern problems in the technologies and engineering of Pumapunku?
Mystery of Decline
The decline and dispersion of the people of Pumapunku remains a mystery. In attempted recreations of the site, some researchers suggest the site was deliberately destroyed.
What happened to the people living at Pumapunku? What caused their decline and the destruction of Pumapunku?
