South Africa is home to some of the most spectacular scenery you’ve ever seen. It is a land of rugged mountain ranges, sun drenched plains, a country that was colonized by a foreign power, and an area that’s home to one of the world’s greatest treasure chests of botany. First, the Gurus visit the Sand People, an ancient tribe, probably the most ancient on the planet.

No trip to Africa is complete without experiencing some of the incredible wildlife. We visit a couple of game parks where you can get up close and personal with the local wildlife. Sustainable luxury is to be found at the Grootbos Hotel where five star luxury and sustainability is at its best. Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens here in Cape Town it is one of the best in the world. Soweto is a place that encapsulates both the country’s difficult past and new post apartheid optimism. There are many more places to see and people to visit in this epic journey.
