Welcome to Exploring the Niyamas yoga series. The Niyamas represent practices that can be considered inner observances and are the second of the eight limb path of Patanjali.
The five Niyamas include Saucha (purification), Santosha (contentment), Tapas (self-discipline), Svadyaya (self-study), and Ishvara Pranidhana (surrender). They are a way of applying the ethics of yoga to your body, mind and spirit to embody internal balance for the whole self. Lauren Lewis will guide you through five 20-minute vinyasa practices that are applicable both on the mat and out in the world. These practices are impactful both individually and sequentially in the series.
