We must admit: at Gaiam TV, we’ve guy-crushed on TheDailyLove.com’s Mastin Kipp for quite some time. His gentle and genuine nature mixed with his wisdom beyond his years makes all of us want to kidnap him and force him to go to a coffee shop for some deep, caffeine-fueled conversation. We were elated when Mastin agreed to be featured in our Live, Love, Grow series. His new book, Daily Love: Growing into Grace, drops September 9. Here, he answers our 15 questions:
Where do you see personal transformation happening in your day-to-day life? I live my life for personal transformation. It happens slowly and then all at once. Right now I’m focused on getting in shape with the help of Adam Cobb and JJ Virgin.
What’s the most important part of your morning routine? Connecting with my girlfriend Jenna and letting her know that she is the most important person in my life. Then I can go out and serve the world.
What’s been playing on your iPod lately? I gotta admit, I love “Break free” by Ariana Grande. Also, “The Man” by Aloe Blacc, “By the Grace of God” by Katy Perry, “Ong So Hung” by GuruSingh and “Beautiful Day” by Aykanna.
You’re a T-shirt slogan. What do you say? Don’t look back.
The world ends tomorrow. What will you eat tonight? Caramel popcorn, whole raw milk, sushi, porterhouse steak, lobster mac & cheese and moscato.
What’s the one superpower you wish you had? Always wished I could fly like Superman.
What’s the last book you read? I don’t read books because I’m dyslexic. But the last audio book I listened to was “The Millionaire Messenger” by Brendon Burchard.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be? I can travel anywhere in the world. And the places I go are: Bali, Santorini, Maui and Asheville, NC. I’m excited to go to Tuscany next.
Who is your biggest inspiration? Three people: Jesus, Joseph Campbell and Oprah Winfrey.
You’ve got the day off. What do you do? I don’t take days off. :o)
What’s the one key thing that keeps you centered when life gets tough? Kundalini Yoga.
What did you eat for breakfast this morning? A shake from FYCNYC and Bulletproof Coffee.
If you could shake anyone’s hand, whose would it be? Living: Steven Speilberg Dead: Jesus
Pen or pencil, and why? Keyboard.
What’s the one piece of advice you’d give to the world? Follow your bliss with courage each day and trust that even though you don’t know what’s going to happen next, life is rigged in your favor.
