When we sit at a desk for long periods at a time we are compressing our spine and reducing the amount of oxygen flow throughout our body. We also tend to take on poor postural habits such as jutting our head forward to look at a computer screen, slouching in our chair or lifting and tensing the muscles of our neck and shoulders. Yes, we can see you. This may result in sore and fatigued muscles, poor postural habits and a fogginess in our thoughts, as well as tension headaches and chronic back pain.
