Classical Yoga Philosophy posits that we have 5 layers that make up our body. The most obvious is the “food sheath” = the annamaya kosha, which is the physical body, but beneath that layer, more subtle and harder to detect, is the “energy body,” called the pranamaya kosha. This class with Bernie Clark will direct our attention to the energy body, to help us stimulate the flow of energy and remove blockages to that flow.

Contraindications: Students with lower back disorders should check with their doctors to make sure that they will be able to do flexion, twists and extension of the spine. Students with hip replacements should make sure that they do not adduct the legs or internally rotate the hips.
