Fourth Chakra Yoga Practice
This heart opening sequence with Ashley Turner works through poses meant to open the heart chakra, otherwise known as anahata. This fourth and primary chakra is the bridge between the lower body, or physical self, and the upper body, or the inner, intuitive, spiritual self. The heart chakra is the only chakra that has a horizontal axis, encompassing the arms, hands, and shoulders. Ashley offers ideas for elements, such as essential oils, that you can invoke to connect to your heart chakra, and begins with a meditation using the mantra "hu". These poses are designed to help you find peace and leave you open to trusting the world around you.
