Samantha S. Brown
With over 25 years experience, Samantha Brown is an international yoga teacher, dancer, student, healer and lover of life. Known for her laughter, playfulness and ability to inspire students of all levels, Brown is dedicated to continually being a student and leader of the mind body arts. Creative catalyst behind ?Balanced Action Yoga,? her teaching style combines yoga postures and philosophy, strength training, physical therapeutics, plyometric, dance, meditation and community building. Beginning her practice of yoga at the age of twelve, Samantha Brown started teaching by the age of seventeen. Since then, Brown has studied with masters from the major yoga traditions of the world including Ashtanga, Iyengar and Anusara. During her years of dedicated study, she spent extensive time living in India where she was given the name Shakti, which in Sanskrit means: the creative power within us all. Empowering each person's creative, awakened, potential is a driving force in Brown's teaching. Infused with spiritual insight, Samantha Brown?s classes are both challenging and therapeutic - combining bio-mechanical precision and inner guidance that evokes vibrant health. Even within the context of a large class, Brown is able to give her students the sense of being seen and deeply supported. In addition to being a Holistic Health Coach with a life time of training and experience in optimal mind body fitness, Samantha Brown is also an authorized representative of Dancing Freedom, a Certified Anusara Yoga teacher, Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500-hour Certified teacher/Teacher Trainer, and Certified AcroYoga teacher.
